Devil’s Lake Boardwalk Trail - Devils Lake State Recreation Area

Agnes Creek Open Space

Spring Lake Open Space

Spring Lake Trail is a 2.5-mile moderate loop, just a short drive from D Sands, that
winds through woods around Spring Lake with a small bridge to explore. A paved,
wheelchair-accessible section is available on the west side. Limited parking, benches,
and pet-friendly paths make it a great spot for a peaceful nature walk.

God’s Thumb via The Knoll Trailhead

Don’t be deceived by its popularity—this nearly 4-mile out-and-back trail packs a
punch with a steep climb gaining about 971 feet in elevation. The effort pays off with
breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean that make every step worth it. And when
those muscles start to ache, nothing beats heading back to D Sands for a relaxing
soak in our pool.

Drift Creek Falls

Though a bit of a drive from D Sands, Drift Creek Falls offers a memorable moderate
hike that’s well worth the trip. This 3-mile roundtrip trail meanders through lush
forest and crosses a thrilling suspension bridge, leading to a stunning 75-foot
waterfall. The walk downhill to the falls is fairly gentle, but be prepared for a tougher
climb on the way back up.
